However, the actual seeing takes place in the brain.<\/p>\n<p>A slight deviation in the axis of the eyes means that images taken by the eyes can no longer be sent to the brain congruently. This leads to an extra workload on the brain in order to still combine the two images into one.<\/p>\n<p>With macular degeneration glasses, the brain should be supported and relieved in its work with macular degeneration in the dry and wet form. Unfortunately, such a promising healing mechanism cannot and will not work.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, there are areas of application in which the use of prism glasses, in addition to an appropriate therapy, can certainly be of complementary help. They can make it easier to find your way around and have a positive effect on your quality of life &#8211; but unfortunately that&#8217;s all they can do.<\/li>\n<li>Glasses can only have an effect on the visual correction of macular degeneration.
