On 29 March 21 it was that time again. The six-day seminar on eye acupuncture started in Frankfurt. The group of participants consisted of doctors, nurses and alternative practitioners like me. My summary of the six instructive days: Absolutely worthwhile! With the new knowledge from “Ten Acupuncture Methods according to Boel”, I can now accompany my patients even more holistically.

Despite my many years of experience with eye acupuncture, I can always pick up a lot of new things at Boel seminars and deepen my specialist knowledge. Especially the intensive exchange with the lecturers and colleagues was very inspiring. The Danish professor Dr. Boel, with whom I also did my training, developed the eye acupuncture procedure himself. It is a therapy that is mainly used to treat chronic and degenerative eye diseases.

In recent years, Dr. Boel has continued his research and developed ten other acupuncture systems. Each is designed to treat specific, often chronic conditions. The systems can be combined with each other and helpful synergy effects are created.

In ophthalmology, the general condition of the body is very important. Pain, stress and medication make the system slaggy and over-acidified and reduce the success of the eye treatment. My patients often suffer from severe headaches, migraines, back pain or painful tension in the neck.

With the new acupuncture methods we aim at these problems at the same time and use targeted physiotherapy as a further tool.

Acupuncture is a healing method that was developed in China about 3,000 years ago. In this method, nerve points in the body are stimulated by fine needles and thus set various biochemical processes in motion.
